What we use today

Chameleon Theatre has no analytics and no advertising. We don't set any first-party cookie. We only use technical storage necessary for the site to work and, if you turn on the embedded videos, the cookies YouTube sets.

Necessary storage (always on)

We save the language, light/dark theme and text size you choose in the accessibility panel in your browser (localStorage, not a cookie), so we don't have to ask you again on every page. It isn't shared with anyone, can't identify you, and can't be turned off because the site wouldn't work without it.

Third-party cookies: YouTube videos

Pages with video serve it through youtube-nocookie.com, the domain Google offers to reduce tracking cookies. The video doesn't load when the page opens: it only activates if you press "Play", and only if you've accepted the "YouTube videos" category in the cookie banner. If you decline it, you'll see a notice with a link to turn it on whenever you like, instead of the video.

Once played, YouTube may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, separate from ours: policies.google.com/privacy.

How to change your decision

You can accept, decline or change the "YouTube videos" category at any time with the "Manage cookies" link in the footer, which reopens the same panel. You can also clear cookies and local storage from your browser's settings.
